From sanger at citizendium.org Tue Mar 25 18:54:12 2008 From: sanger at citizendium.org (Larry Sanger) Date: Tue, 25 Mar 2008 19:54:12 -0400 Subject: [Cz-approfeed] Enable external feedback? Message-ID: <001a01c88ed3$86c1ca70$0202a8c0@D7WRQ591> http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:Proposals/Enable_external_feedback It's time (finally!) to giving some decisions about specific proposals. There are two, in fact, that are up for discussion, approval, and/or revision. Another thing we should discuss is whether proposals are significant enough to warrant our recommending them to the entire Editorial Council. I say we dive right in to an open and frank discussion of this first proposal. Please have a quick (or in-depth, if you have the time) read of the above proposal, and offer your opinion. JUST A FEW LINES, if that is all you can afford, is better than none at all. Please try to read the proposal BEFORE reading any other person's opinion about it (either on the proposal page, or via this group's e-mail); the more independent opinions we have, the better we will operate as a group. Once we have stated our views independently, we can take other people's views on board. As to how this group should operate, let's just dive in first, and then, with a little experience, see what we think the "rules" should be. What I do want to say, however, is that we should explicitly vote on proposals, unless it is obvious to me (or the future chair of the group) that there is more than adequate support (or rejection) of a proposal. Also bear in mind that it's quite OK to suggest changes. We just have to agree on them... --Larry
