[David Shapinsky]

I am David Shapinsky, an historian with a Ph.D. in history from the
University of Chicago as well as a broadcast journalist.  After some years
in academia, teaching at the College of Wooster in Ohio, I entered network
news, spending nearly 8 years at ABC News.  At ABC I became an investigative
producer, working on various stories including a look at the Oil industry in
Ecuador.  I also established a webcasting service for the Kaiser Family
Foundation, kaisernetwork.org, and served as senior producer for WHUT-PBS, a
public broadcasting station in Washington, D.C.  More information is in my
