Dear All,
I'd thank Larry for taking all the trouble to clarify all doubts.
I work in a timezone (IST=UTC+5.5) which is nearly half a day apart from
most of the timezones in the USA. Therefore, on many occasions my response
may be delayed by that amount of time!
To quote Larry: "we can't vote to lay the resolution on the table (search

because the discussed resolution has not been formally submitted yet.  For
that to happen, there must be a resolution page created, per these (fairly
simple!) instructions:

Of course, once such a page is made, then, considering that there have been
two co-sponsors, *then* a motion to table would be in order.
For those of you who have questions about how the Council works, I recommend

Therefore, the present status of the Proposal on Recipes is as follows:

We have:
Sponsor: Supten Sarbadhikari
Co-Sponsor-1: Todd Coles
Co-Sponsor-2: David Shapinsky
The Sponsor (yours truly) and the Co-sponsors will discuss and put up the
Proposal as a formal Resolution: Resolution 0009 - to the EC), and it will
follow the course of action as specified by the above mentioned Rules of
Procedure.
I would request Todd and David (Shapinsky) to discuss with me (out of the
listserve, viz., by direct emails) to work on the proposal and bring it to
shape, keeping all the concerns raised by the EC members in mind. As I am
sponsoring the motion, I'd request Larry to act as the Chair for the motion
and hopefully our new Secretary (to be notified on Friday May 02, 2008) will
take us smoothly through the process. Larry will need no help but I'd fully
assist the new Secretary wherever s/he needs any clarification.
