Regina Bouillon nominated Supten Sarbadhikari for chair, and his nomination
is hereby seconded by me.  No other nominations were received.

Therefore, if there are no objections within the next week, we shall install
Supten as the new Chair next Wednesday, April 2.

We may take a vote if anyone wishes to, but I do not see the necessity.
While usually we do not require any communication to pass a resolution "by
acclamation," in this particular case, expressions of support for Prof.
Sarbadhikari's candidacy would be in order.

Personally, I think we have been lucky enough to find someone as competent
as Supten has been for the position of Secretary.  I am sure he will make a
fine Chair.
