To All:
My name is Gordan Feric.
I am sorry to hear that Martin has decided to submit his intent of resignation for no matter what his reasons are and what the issues are -- that is none of my business and I do not intend to get involved with it.? I do not pick sides and I am just sorry that at Citizendium there is another valuable member who just does not see any bright way of moving forward?due to somebody's action taken.
My point and the bottom line is that good people with knowledge and good intentions come to Citizendium to wok together and share things in common for the overall good of Citizendium and for some reason people end up having no choice but to take a step back.? That is just sad ...
If you do not mind, please take my case as another example.
Many, many years of my hard work and input got turned upside down and, in my opinion,?on just non-engineering issues and ground. ?I never had a?decent chance to find out the core of Mr. Milton Beychok action.
In my opinion, the pattern is the same and just keeps repeating -- Editors and/or Editor-in-Chief?feel the need to take some action and irreversible damage happens breaking up all the seams so that people just never get to their original objectives -- working together, collaborating and somehow moving forward in an easy, fast and enjoyable way.
I do know that my case?is not worth more waste of energy and more frustrations, but I just felt the need to come forward and express?and show some support to Martin?at this particular moment.
Again, in my opinion, Citizendium does need to fix itself if it wants to bring and keep new members -- as of now it is just not working.? Editors and Editor-in-Charge have a big problem on their hands and it is up to them to?address a very serious problem and find a fix acceptable to everybody.
We do live in the United States of America and are governed by the laws and ,therefore , action taken needs to comply with the laws and make sure that no matter what their intention is there is?harm to good people while trying to make their point ...
I do appreciate your time, patience and this opportunity for me to share my opinion and experience with you.
Thanks,
Gordan
PS
We are not kids anymore and there is just no point in who said and what the talk pages indicate -- more professional action and behavior is?required for the success of Citizendium and credit to its values provide in writing -- in my opinion, action indicates the other way and Editors and Editor-in-Charge just end up chasing people out through the exit door ...

All,
?
I'm afraid Martin is incorrect in saying that we cannot "reach agreement...about who should evaluate the quality of specialist articles" and that I rank my ability?higher than his--the latter is completely wrong, in fact.? While that is evidently his interpretation, but the dispute that occasioned Martin's current decision is considerably more complex than that, in my opinion.
?
Anyway, I'm sorry to see Martin go and urge him to return after a break.

Dear colleague
?
I formally submit my resignation as Secretary of the Editorial Council and as an Editor on CZ. The reasons can be found on the Talk page of an economics article "Crash of 2008".
?
I regret that the Editor-in-Chief was unable to reach agreement with me about who should evaluate the quality of specialist articles; since he?apparently ranks his own ability in these areas?above?my own,?I cannot agree to continue participating in the venture.
?
With best wishes
?
Yours sincerely,
?
Martin Baldwin-Edwards
