[Cz-editcouncil] Resignation

All,

I suppose I should make one thing clearer: this was absolutely not a matter
of the Editor-in-Chief overruling an editor in the editor's areas of
expertise. I broadly support you in your decisions in your areas of
expertise, of course, and this case is no exception. In fact, I disagreed
with the editors in this case, but I did not overrule them. In very rare
cases, that may be necessary, but this was not such a case.

The situation is complex, and you can see the talk page of "Crash of 2008"
(http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/Talk:Crash_of_2008) if you are interested in
the gory details of the situation. I urge you to read the page for
yourself, and make up your mind for yourself, if you are inclined to think
that I will not support your valuable work and time here on CZ. All that I
ask is that I have the freedom to comment on content issues on talk pages;
the Editor-in-Chief ought to be able to do that, and this is essentially
what the dispute was about.
