Larry:
I do apologies to you for somehow going it the wrong direction.
Again, the dispute is none of my business.? I am not here to take sides.
What bothers me as a person is that for some reason people at Citizendium get to a point that the best thing is just to walk away.? It becomes counterproductive ...
In my opinion, it should not be like that and people should not go that far in dealing with no matter what the issues are ...
Again, this keeps happening over and over and it is just not good for the parties involved and Citizendium.? I do believe that something needs to be done in order to avoid such a pattern from happening again.
People who come to Citizendium need to prosper and not just drop out -- everybody has good intentions are we are dealing with good people who do know their subject matter ...
Larry, as far as I can see, you are a reasonable person.? The same I can say for Martin and I just cannot understand why we come to a point that somebody needs to take a step back.
Again, I do apologize to everybody for making the whole thing worse, but I just felt that I should try to say something positive and productive!
I do believe that something can and should be done so that things like this never happen again.? It is good do disagree, but it should not have such a bad outcome for parties involved ...
Thanks,
Gordan

All,
?
I suppose I should make?one thing?clearer: this was absolutely not a matter of the Editor-in-Chief overruling an editor in the editor's areas of expertise.? I broadly support you in your decisions in your areas of expertise, of course, and this case is no exception.? In fact, I?disagreed with the editors in this case, but I did not overrule them.? In very rare cases, that may be necessary, but this was not such a case.
?
The situation is complex, and you can see the talk page of "Crash of 2008" (http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/Talk:Crash_of_2008)?if you are interested in the gory details of the? situation.? I urge you to read the page for yourself, and make up your mind for yourself,?if you are inclined to think that I will not support your valuable work and time here on CZ.? All that I ask is that I have the freedom to comment on content issues on talk pages; the Editor-in-Chief ought to be able to do that, and this is essentially what the dispute was about.
?
