Dear All,
As already notified, Chris Day will be the Chair of the Citizendium
Editorial Council with effect from Tuesday, April 07, 2009 and Howard
Berkowitz will continue as the Secretary of CZ EC.
The Secretary is also the Election Official and the Chair can help him
whenever required. The Election process will also begin from April 07, 2009.
I am sure that Chris and Howard will form an excellent team and make the
Editorial Council more vibrant and effective in the coming year. I
personally wish them all success.
It has been a great pleasure and privilege to have all of you as the
esteemed members of the Editorial Council. During the past one year albeit
there wasn't too many resolutions to be moved, an unexpected event of the
Secretary resigning suddenly was overcome with the cooperation of all of
you. A big "Thank You" to all of you.
Unfortunately, due to my career commitments,  I could not devote as much
time and attention I should have to the CZ EC and I sincerely apologize for
that.
There are two proposals still at:

The "Drivers" for both are Chris Day and therefore, hopefully both will soon
be moved through the CZ EC. However, as per:

al_resolutions
"If the Chair offers a resolution, then the Secretary fills Chair duties
with respect to that resolution, and the Chair may vote and discuss. The
Chair is discouraged from offering many resolutions, however, because it may
undermine the Council's trust in his or her impartiality. Similarly, if the
Secretary sponsors any resolution, he or she cannot perform Secretary duties
with respect to that resolution; and similar rules apply for each Rules
Committee member."
