Hello educators,

I'm personally interested in issues and methods about how to teach reading

I have long had an amateur interest in this.  I would love it if someone
would provide articles about phonics, intensive/systematic/synthetic phonics
vs. implicit phonics, whole word and whole language methods--and what would
be really interesting is an article about the HISTORY of the controversies
over how to teach reading.

Any takers?  :-)  I will help...at least a little...if you don't mind...
