Well welcome! I'm absolutely delighted to see activity on the workgroup list, which has
been very inactive. Chemical engineering has some very active people, but other
disciplines have been pretty idle.

I've simply not run into geomatics as a term before, although it makes perfectly good
sense.

Let me answer you indirectly. I'm not a surveying/mapping specialist per se, but I have
done a good deal of work with intelligence systems, and also, these days, with marine
navigation and some resource sensing. May I suggest you look at several articles that
might not have caught your eye:

*Geospatial intelligence
*Measurement and signature intelligence (lots of subarticles)

Not only do I not object to expanding PLSS, how can someone not expert help? Landon, this
is a very welcome message, as I have been more and more frustrated with the lack of
collaborative activity in areas where I have been writing. Any glimmerings of life help
me stick around.
