[Cz-sociology] Charter drafting nominations

All,
First of all, my apologies to those who receive this message more than 
once.  If you're subscribed to many
different Citizendium mailing lists, I'm afraid you'll receive this same 
message many times over.  Still, I want to make sure we reach as many 
people as possible.

The first stage is underway in the process of drafting an official 
Citizendium charter.  This charter will serve as an expression of our 
project's goals and ideals and it will be developed by the community 
itself.  In order to jumpstart the process, we are electing a committee 
of delegates to compose the first draft (for more information on the 
committee, visit the wiki page describing it: 
http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:Charter_drafting_committee ).  Once 
the committee has produced a draft, it will be released for commentary 
from all Citizendium members.

As I mentioned, the first stage of this process is underway: the period 
for nominating fellow Citizens to be candidates for the committee is 
currently open.  Nominations opened up on September 16 and will be 
accepted through September 29, 2009.  Each member of Citizendium may 
nominate up to five other members.  You can make your nominations here:

If you have been nominated, you may indicate that you either accept or 
decline on the same page. Go to
