[SharedKnowing] Questia and systems for reading copyrighted books online

All,

A colleague asserts that Questia is the only service online that offers, for
a monthly subscription fee, (many) books for reading *online* that one would
otherwise have to buy?  I don't mean collections of public domain books like
Project Gutenberg and archive.org.  Google Books doesn't count because it
has no way (yet) to read the full contents of the book, even for a fee.

Question: is this true?  I could have sworn there were others.
