Summary

Description
English: Sketch of the Jamestown, Virginia fort sent to King Philip III of Spain by his ambassador Don Pedro de Zúñiga. The sketch was found on the back of a map Captain John Smith in 1608. The cross is thought to represent the church and the flag like drawing may be a garden. It may also be a representation of the early 17th century English blue ensign.
