I am a second-year student of the Erasmus Mundus Program ALGANT (Algebra, Geometry, and Number Theory)--a joint degree in pure mathematics financed by the European Commission and hosted by the universities at Bordeaux (FR), Paris-Sud 11 (FR), Padova (IT), and Leiden (NL). I received my bachelors from Albion College (Albion, Michigan) in Spring 2006.

I am currently a student at Université Paris-Sud 11. I intend to pursue a Ph.D. somewhere, but oddly enough I'm not making any effort to apply to programs; sounds like a recipe for disaster.

I am currently studying étale cohomology, the Lichtenbaum conjectures and weil-étale cohomology, and number theory.

I am primarily interested in pure mathematics and too many other distracting things like politics, race relations, music, journalism, etc. I should quit them actually.
