This list uses the American system of numbering, with non-consecutive terms of office counted as if they were separate people. Our PMs aren't usually numbered at all, but my impression is that when they are they are counted as individuals only, so that Gladstone counts as 1 PM, not 4. This list uses the American system of numbering, with non-consecutive terms of office counted as if they were separate people. Our PMs aren't usually numbered at all, but my impression is that when they are they are counted as individuals only, so that Gladstone counts as 1 PM, not 4.
