I worked as a professional journalist after secondary education (1970-1982) and then read for a first degree in economics from Queen Mary College, University of London (1985) and an MSc in Logic and Scientific Method at the London School of Economics (1986). I am currently completing post-viva amendments to my PhD thesis "The rate of profit as a random variable". My present position is Senior Lecturer in Economics at Kingston University.
