Nick, kindly do us the favor of adding a bio of about 50 words or so to your userpage.  This is actually a requirement of everyone.  Thanks! [[User:Stephen Ewen|Stephen Ewen]] 01:39, 7 November 2007 (CST)

== Redirect ==
== Welcome! ==

Nick, is there a special reason why you created a redirect at [[Cost-benefit analyssi]]?
Hello Nick<br>
I don't think that spelling (or rather: typos) like this should be redirected.
Congratulations on the impact evaluation article. I am interested in the related subject of project management and I have done some writing about it - but not for Citizendium. I note that you are interested in development economics. That is not an area that I have explored, but I was recently prompted to rewrite the article on [[microfinance]], and the research for that stimulated my interest in the topic of poverty reduction. CZ has nothing on that important subject - a serious shortcoming that perhaps you could repair?

:I did make that typo when I initially searched for cost-benefit analysis. The text I mistakenly entered yielded no search terms, so I created the redirect assuming that others could make the same mistake but fail to catch their error (and by extension assuming that some folks are pretty darn unobservant). I'm not sure what issues other than space are considered when creating redirects, and I figured that space was a non-issue. I apologize if I am simply--and I'm assuming I am--misinformed. But out of curiosity, what's the reason for not redirecting typos? EDIT: I just considered two other potential reasons: One, of course we can't spend all our time creating redirects for typos; two, such redirects will devalue "What links here" pages. So, once again, apologies on my part. [[User:Nick Bagnall|Nick Bagnall]] 14:48, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
:: No harm done. It is just a habit of mine to "clean up" if I happen to notice something. Such "misspelled" titles usually are the result of an mistake made when creating a page and left after a move correcting this mistake. In this case I noticed that it was created intentionally and therefore I asked before any action. My main reason is to keep the listings free of "wrong" titles. Moreover, wrong titles are valid links and shown blue, while a red link warns an Author that something may be not correct. --[[User:Peter Schmitt|Peter Schmitt]] 17:12, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

It would be good if you could expand the brief statement on your user page so that your fellow citizens might get to know you better. You could add things like where you live and what you do.

Hi Nick. You have been particularly active in the video games articles, and therefore I would like to invite you to join the '''[[CZ:Video_Games_Subgroup|new Video Games Subgroup]]'''. If you would like to join simply add <nowiki>[[Category:Video Games Members|Bagnall, Nick]]</nowiki> to your user page. --[[User:Chris Key|Chris Key]] 11:18, 29 March 2010 (UTC)

Talk page

Welcome!

Hello Nick
Congratulations on the impact evaluation article. I am interested in the related subject of project management and I have done some writing about it - but not for Citizendium. I note that you are interested in development economics. That is not an area that I have explored, but I was recently prompted to rewrite the article on microfinance, and the research for that stimulated my interest in the topic of poverty reduction. CZ has nothing on that important subject - a serious shortcoming that perhaps you could repair?

It would be good if you could expand the brief statement on your user page so that your fellow citizens might get to know you better. You could add things like where you live and what you do.

If you think I could be useful to you, let me know. I have been a Citizen for about 3 years and it took me at least half of that time to find out about some of its features. I am now an economics editor - actually the economics editor, so I am supposed to exercise "gentle oversight-- a village elder wandering the bazaar" - but there is actually very editing for me to do.Nick Gardner 21:03, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

Thank you, Nick, both for your congratulations and your faith in my writing ability--it means a good deal coming from you. I have been impressed by your economics articles; your extensive work on the Crash of 2008 was in particular enlightening. I do hope to add as much to the Economics Workgroup as time allows, but I'm a bit tied up at the moment.Nick Bagnall 11:25, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

About your recent deletion of your Talk page content

Nick, many of us archive our user Talk pages (using the Template:Archive box) when they get too long. In fact, I have archived my Talk page 10 times since joining Citizendium and my Talk page has links to those 10 archives.

There is a help article on how to use that template at Help:Index/Communication/Talk/Archiving. Were you unaware of how to archive when you very recently completely deleted you user Talk page or did you have some other reason for doing that? - Milton Beychok 18:18, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

Sorry Milton, I wasn't aware of how to archive. It has now been done. Nick Bagnall 20:51, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
I hope that you won't mind ... I simplified the archive box coding for you and moved your archive box to the page top which is what most of us have done. If you don't like it there, then simply revert what I did. Regards, - Milton Beychok 22:41, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
