It seems to me that much of the material we have here is about the city and its immediate surroundings, rather than the modern prefecture, which extends further southwards. If people don't object, I would like to move this article to [[Osaka]] with a new introduction, and develop a separate stub for the prefecture here. It seems to me that much of the material we have here is about the city and its immediate surroundings, rather than the modern prefecture, which extends further southwards.
