I suspect he deleted it accidentally, because there were a wave of vandals (or a single guy with a lot of proxies is actually my guess) who have over the last two days impersonated WP people (unless Jimbo or Angela Beesley are actually claiming a coup of the site and moving Larry Sanger's user page to a nasty name).  So I'm sorry he apparently jumped the gun when he thought it was starting up again.  I've emailed him about it.  I apologize again, and I hope the experience doesn't put you off the project.  I look forward to working with you.  -- ZachPruckowski (Talk) 19:17, 1 February 2007 (CST)

Why was this page deleted? Unfortunately I can't even ask the admin who did this as he's locked his talk page (as an administrator on Wikipedia I can assure you this is massively frowned upon).
Also, deleting someones userpage without even a word of explanation to that person, nor even a reason in the deletion summary is extremely rude!

I have sent you an internal e-mail, asking you why you put on your user page the line: I am an administrator, without having these rights? I only wiped that line - and therefore your page as that was all there was. Robert Tito 19:25, 1 February 2007 (CST)
Rob--I suspect he said that he was a Wikipedia administrator?  Not terribly impressive here, of course, but he's free to say it if he wants to.
Steve--sorry you've had a less-than-welcoming introduction.

Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start, and see Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! Robert Tito 18:42, 1 February 2007 (CST)

Deleted user page

I (and I probably speak for many of us here) could not care less about what Wikipedia "massively" frowns upon. Please do not attempt to import Wikipedia's culture here; we're trying to do something different, more mature, more friendly, less like The Lord of the Flies.

As to your user page, we require a biography if you want to participate. Please see these instructions.
