Fatblogging is an online weight loss blogging phenomenon identified by Jason Calacanis circa 2007.

Those who do fatblogging simply adapt and promote a lifestyle where they post their diet and exercising habits in their blogs. Although there are no strictly enforced rules on what constitutes fatblogging or not, Calacanis explains that it is not a weight loss competition because of motivational reasons.[1]

Currently, there is no total record of fatbloggers. However, the concept of using the internet to facilitate weight loss, and the maintenance of ideal body weight after weight loss has been promoted within the medical profession as effective.[2]
