Council never reached a decision on monarchs' names. For now I've given both forms for the new king. The usual practice seems to be to use native names for modern people but translations for historical ones. This produces oddities when you have a list of monarchs. E.g. the present king of Sweden is usually called Carl XVI Gustaf, but famous predecessors are called Charles X and Charles XII. Similarly, the new king of Spain is most often called Felipe VI in the media, but history books call the king who sent the Armada against us Philip II.
