I have a BA (Hons) was in English Language and Literature from the University of Manchester (UK). My doctorate was in web-based health promotion for people with high blood pressure, from City University, London (UK). Since 2000 I have been involved with e-learning work in higher education institutions including Barts and The London, Queen Mary's School of Medicine and Dentistry (University of London) where I led projects to rework hard-copy study guides for the Web and to design and produce online problem-based learning sequences for medical undergraduates. I also developed health promotion for people at risk of falling. My current role is learning technologist at Goldsmiths, University of London, where I led a project to explore how tutors use Virtual Learning Environments to design and deliver learning experiences for their students. Since 2002 I have been closely following and participating in debate about the academic boycott of Israel.
