Density (Chemistry)

Hi, Is it intended that both, "Density (mass)" and "Density(Chemistry)" link to Density (Chemistry)? It seems a bit confusing to me. Alexander Wiebel 01:33, 27 June 2008 (CDT)

I agree what is the reason to have mass and chemistry? Chris Day 01:51, 27 June 2008 (CDT)
It was my thought that physicists would prefer "Density (mass)" but that chemists and chemical engineers would prefer "Density (chemistry)". I finally decided to name the article "Density (chemistry)" and to redirect "Density (mass)" directly to "Density (chemistry)" rather than to "Density (disambiguation)".
Alexander and Chris, I don't feel strongly about it one way or another. But I did want to explain why I had "Density (mass)" redirected to "Density (chemistry)". Milton Beychok 11:44, 27 June 2008 (CDT)
On further thought, I think that "Density (mass)" should be reverted so that it does indeed redirect to "Density (chemistry)" but it should not be listed in "Density (disambiguation)".
In other words, the current article "Density (chemistry)" really defines and discusses the subject of density as it would normally be used either in chemistry or physics. If there is no objection to that, I will make those changes. Milton Beychok 14:29, 27 June 2008 (CDT)
Since there have been no objections, I am proceeding with the changes discussed above. Milton Beychok 09:26, 28 June 2008 (CDT)
