Lexus is a brand of luxury vehicles and is a part of the automobile manufacturer, Toyota Motor Corporation which together with its members constitute the world's third-leading automaker. The vehicles include sedans, coupés, convertibles, SUVs and recently hybrid flavors of some of their models.

History

The brand was established in the early 1980s and was launched in 1989. The first two models that were launched where the entry-level ES 250 and the flagship LS 400 with a latter being praised by critics. In the early 1990s, the Lexus brand expanded to other markets, including the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.[1] Over the years the reputation of the brand and the its success in several safety and reliability tests and surveys have made it a powerful player in the luxury car segment.

Lexus Today

In the recent years Lexus has introduced several new models along with added features with regards to safety and otherwise. It was also early manufacturers of luxury hybrid vehicles.
