Want/To-do List
- Note: This entry does not yet contain any of the details of Altmeier's work on implementing Social Security from 1935-1953. --Roger Lohmann 17:21, 7 November 2007 (CST)
- This article could use a picture of Altmeier if someone can scrounge one up somewhere. --Roger Lohmann 17:42, 7 November 2007 (CST)
- Got one. Russell D. Jones 21:02, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
References
The first reference in this article is to Altmeyer's Formative Years of Social Security which was published in 1966. The subsequent notes reference an Altmeyer volume for 1968. Was this meant to be the same volume or is it a reference to a different book? Russell D. Jones 21:02, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
No Biography?
As far as I can tell at this point and I've done a few searches of the major databases, there is no monograph biography of Altmeyer, nor is there any journal or magazine biography of him either. Am I wrong? If someone knows of a published biography, please let us know. Thanks. Russell D. Jones 02:09, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
Toward approval
This article is properly executed as a three editor approval for this version and will be approved on June 15, 2010 unless the ToApprove template is removed by an editor. P.S. It needs copyediting, so I assume there will be subsequent versions that will need to be updated by June 15. D. Matt Innis 18:19, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
Rename
Howard and Roger, we had discussed this name change before, but I hadn't done it before nomination. For Matt's sake, please note your assent to the change. Thanks. Russell D. Jones
Toward Approval
This article is scheduled to be locked on June 15, 2010, but Roger and Howard have not acknowledged that they agree to the name change that Russell made. As Russell made several edits to the article, a single editor approval is not a choice and therefore the other two editors must consent to the name change. Please feel free to show your support by commenting below this post, otherwise I will assume that the support is not there for approval. D. Matt Innis 02:41, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- I always use my middle initial; it would be hypocrisy not to support. :-) Howard C. Berkowitz 02:49, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- I always use mine too (except at CZ, where my request was rejected. ;-) I'm in agreement. Roger Lohmann 10:29, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- If I didn't use my middle initial, I could immediately resolve my Health Sciences potential editor status with my MD from Georgetown -- well, that is Howard B. Berkowitz, and we were there at the same time.
- I'm hesitant to ask Matt Innis about initialization, but, by whatever name, is everything now OK? Howard C. Berkowitz 15:31, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- Initials are mandatory in my opinion :-) Roger, you must have made someone mad, hehe!
- Yes, this article is ready for approval, I think.. (I'll give it one more once over).D. Matt Innis 16:23, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
Approved Version 1.0
Congratulations on another one for the History Workgroup, et al.! Are we at 1% yet Roger? D. Matt Innis 16:31, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
