The National Science Foundation is an organ of the United States Government which funds Scientific research.[1] The NSF was established in 1950. Since its founding researchers funded by the NSF have won over 170 Nobel Prizes.
The NSF is overseen by a National Science Board.[2]
The NSF's budget for 2008 was just over $6 billion.[3]
