Remu is a small Swedish island belonging to the Haparanda Archipelago in the northern part of the Gulf of Bothnia. The island is situated 24 kilometer south-east of Haparanda, 1.5 km west of the border with Finland. The island has no connection with the main land and no buildings except for a few shelters. Remu lies between Sarven Riskilö and Sarven Kataja. When the local postglacial rebound will persist, Remu will become part of a peninsula that connects the islands of the archipelago with the main land.
