In the tale he immediately kneels when the incognito king Richard reveals himself (and also, incidentally, confesses to being Robin Hood). The Ivanhoe connection
The statement that in Ivanhoe Robin Hood leads Saxon resistance against the Normans is not quite correct. In the tale he immediately kneels when the incognito king Richard reveals himself (and also, incidentally, confesses to being Robin Hood).
