If you will look at [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sathya_Sai_Baba_movement&limit=500&action=history] you will see not "very, very few edits" but ''dozens'' of edits by others. For a whole series of edits not by Andries, see [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sathya_Sai_Baba_movement&diff=82805686&oldid=68023818]. I consider the investigation complete. I am checking the "Content is from Wikipedia?" again. --[[User:Larry Sanger|Larry Sanger]] 17:20, 13 April 2007 (CDT) | If you will look at [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sathya_Sai_Baba_movement&limit=500&action=history] you will see not "very, very few edits" but ''dozens'' of edits by others. :Of course I saw in the history that others have edited the entry, but non of those edits have merited any contents that was retained in either Wikipedia or here. Have you checked the edits? I have. If you have checked the edits then what contents was made by others and copied to Citizendium? No, but that is more work than I or anyone can possibly be expected to do, and I don't think that we can simply take your word for it. As you yourself said, "Contributions of other people to this article in Wikipedia are neglible." Negligible is different from nonexistent. --[[User:Larry Sanger|Larry Sanger]] 17:32, 13 April 2007 (CDT) |
Revision as of 16:32, 13 April 2007
I do not think that the link to Wikipedia is necessary, because I am the only author of the article in Wikipedia. Andries 13:21, 30 March 2007 (CDT) If nobody made ANY edit whatsoever you are right. (Ergo als je de enige bent die wijzigingen gemaakt heeft: haal de tag dan weg). Groet. Robert Tito | Talk 13:25, 30 March 2007 (CDT)
- Contributions of other people to this article in Wikipedia are neglible. Andries 13:43, 30 March 2007 (CDT)
- The article still contains traces of original research or unsourced personal interpretations of the teachings of Sathya Sai Baba. Andries 14:01, 30 March 2007 (CDT)
If you can remove both the edits made by others, and also original research/personal interpretations, all will be well! --Larry Sanger 16:02, 1 April 2007 (CDT)
- Articles posted in Wikipedia and licensed GFDL and need to be attributed to Wikipedia, regardless of how many editors contributed to these articles. Jossi 12:44, 13 April 2007 (CDT)
Your opinion is incorrect, Jossi. If a person contributed a piece of content to WP, that person may contribute the same content to CZ under CZ's terms. According to WP itself, contributors to WP are the ones who license their edits; they do not donate their copyrights to WP. In this case, since Andries presumably still has copyright in the content he created and contributed to WP, he may contribute the same material to CZ.
This said, we ought to investigate Andries' claim and ensure that in fact he really is the only contributor to the material that he has transferred here. See [1]; on the strength of that, I am checking the "Content is from Wikipedia?" box. --Larry Sanger 14:03, 13 April 2007 (CDT)
- Please investigate within two weeks. Thanks in advance. Andries 5:43, 13 April 2007 (CDT)
- I will treat copying contents from this entry on Citizendium to Wikipedia as a coyyright infringement by Wikipedia. Andries 15:47, 13 April 2007 (CDT)
- I checked the history and I re-wrote one of the very, very few edits that I did not make, though even those edits were inspired by me as I had written them on the talk page of another article. I will undo the "From Wikipedia" tag. Andries 15:57, 13 April 2007 (CDT)
If you will look at [2] you will see not "very, very few edits" but dozens of edits by others. For a whole series of edits not by Andries, see [3]. I consider the investigation complete. I am checking the "Content is from Wikipedia?" again. --Larry Sanger 17:20, 13 April 2007 (CDT)
