I replaced it with a redirect. Most of that page is already linked from one of the CZ:Home categories (e.g. Getting Started), but a few don't seem to be. Here they are: | |||

Revision as of 17:22, 21 February 2008
I see we haven't got any discussion about Help, yet. I hope that we eventually arrive at a searchable help for editors, another searchable help for authors and the default searchable help for readers / users. Until then, Happy Ho Ho's. Terry E. Olsen 09:16, 1 May 2007 (CDT)
Templates!
What would be really handy somewhere around here would be a list of available templates. Petréa Mitchell 14:28, 20 May 2007 (CDT)
Needs redesign
While I agree that we continue to need a help page, this one won't do any longer. Sure could use help...with this... --Larry Sanger 21:46, 20 September 2007 (CDT)
Very helpful features - ok to add to help page?
I have recently discovered that the following tools for Wikipedia can be used on CZ:
- wikEd - this is the very nice editing window. If you follow his instructions for installing the Greasemonkey plugin on Firefox, then install the wikEd (first link labeled install on his page), you can use the editor at CZ. Takes a bit of getting used to, but then is very helpful.
- Navigation popups - follow the instructions in the 'Portability' section. This tool makes reading articles in a mediawiki system much nicer.
Ok to add this to Help:Contents? Robert Badgett 22:51, 8 October 2007 (CDT)
Hi Robert. I'd think a link to CZ:Technical Help would be great. It contains a link to CZ:Enhancing_your_editing_with_javascript_extensions. That page needs an update with the Firefox plugin. Right now, {{Navpop}} - Navigation popusps - is broken, from I think the Mediawiki software update. It works, but very incompletely. Know how to fix it? —Stephen Ewen (Talk) 23:06, 8 October 2007 (CDT)
- Well, I just noticed that both of these scripts are not working fully in CZ. wikEd is disabling the markup links below the edit box. Navigation popups is not retrieving the first paragraph of the article as it does when used at WP. Unfortunately, I do not know how to fix.Robert Badgett 23:10, 8 October 2007 (CDT)
Replace this page with CZ:Home?
