:That question doesn't arise until around 1972 or so, when the ATP started weekly rankings. WP had long articles about the ATP ratings. I then started a No. 1 World article, like the one here, but only up to 1972. Other people then continued it but I dropped out. With this one I don't plan to go any further than 1968 (start of Open play) or 1972 at the latest. It probably should be renamed at some point.
