South Korea (Korean: Nam-han), officially the Republic of Korea (Korean: Dae-han Min-guk,[1]),[2] is the constitutional republic comprising the southern part of the Korean peninsula. It borders North Korea and is surrounded by the Yellow Sea and the Sea of Japan (East Sea). The capital is Seoul.
