South Korea (Korean: Nam-han), officially the Republic of Korea (Korean: Dae-han Min-guk,[1]),[2] is the constitutional republic comprising the southern part of the Korean peninsula. It borders North Korea and is surrounded by the Yellow ea to the west and by the East Sea (Sea of Japan). The capital is Seoul.
