Welcome!

= This page is a first attempt to publish an article regarding the categories of Visual Arts, Law and Media. It is about Frauds and Dumping that effect artists, their collectors, and others regarding valuable copyrights, IP and patents. I do need your comments and especially how to format and footnote properly using the various tools. Thank you for your input and hope you enjoy reading it. There may be at two of us standing by to respond on this article.

Starting an article

Hi Jonathan, and welcome to the Citizendium!

I noticed you were trying to create an article. To do so, just enter the desired title into the Search box and click Go. If the article does not exist, you will be prompted to create it. Then, write the text of your article in the text box that appears, including the subpages template at the top of the page using {{subpages}}. You'll be prompted to enter data for the subpages after saving the article.

I hope that helps—feel free to ask me or another contributor any questions about formatting you might have. Again, welcome!—Thomas H. Larsen 05:33, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

(To clarify: you have created an article in the Template: "name-space". You will want to create it in article-space instead, which has no : prefix.)—Thomas H. Larsen 05:37, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

Hmmmm. I am quite the newbie. [2] ... I will try to follow your advice. I saw the headline looked wierd...TY Thomas Jonathan Pike 05:47, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

Hi Thomas, Can I use the move feature to accomplish that? and How? Jonathan Pike 05:47, 26 December 2009 (UTC) Jon
Yes, you can. Click on the move tab, then enter the desired article name (without any : prefix), and submit the form.—Thomas H. Larsen 05:49, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

Will try it now. Jonathan Pike 05:50, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

Many thanks to you Thomas. Shall I also delete metadata word as a suffix or is it needed? And sorry to be such a bother, but how does one announce a new page to the workgroups? Jonathan Pike 05:55, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
Very good! The "/Metadata" is part of subpages functionality, though, so you will probably want to re-name the article without the "/Metadata" suffix. Then you can add {{subpages}} to the top of the article and fill out the metadata properly. As far as I know, workgroups are defined in the metadata.—Thomas H. Larsen 05:57, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
