The Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency is an international agency formed to help the nations of the Pacific Islands Forum aid one another in protecting their fisheries.[1]
The agency was formed in 1979, the year the United Nations Convention on Law of the Seas extended an Exclusive Economic Zone 200 kilometers beyond the shores of all maritime nations.[1]
