The Congressional India Caucus is one of the larger bipartisan caucuses, formed in 1985 when President Jimmy Carter declared the "Year of India" in the U.S. [1] It does not have its own website, but its members are quoted often in Indian and Indian-American news. In 2007, the chairs were Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) and Rep. Jim McDermott (D-WA). References
