Rioplatense Spanish refers to the dialect of Spanish spoken in the River Plate (Río de la Plata) basin, which includes Uruguay and parts of Argentina, encompassing Buenos Aires. It is mainly characterized by its use of voseo and a strong Italian influence on the pronunciation.
