Today's Church of Scientology was created 1954. It is a new, fast growing, world wide religion although it has not yet been recognized in every country. Its founder was L. Ron Hubbard who developed its organizational policy and content. In recent years its volunteer ministers have provided assistance at national and international disaster scenes.
