Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start, and see Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! --Mike Johnson 13:25, 15 November 2006 (CST)

Bio

Nick, kindly do us the favor of adding a bio of about 50 words or so to your userpage. This is actually a requirement of everyone. Thanks! Stephen Ewen 01:39, 7 November 2007 (CST)

Redirect

Nick, is there a special reason why you created a redirect at Cost-benefit analyssi? I don't think that spelling (or rather: typos) like this should be redirected. --Peter Schmitt 12:44, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

I did make that typo when I initially searched for cost-benefit analysis. The text I mistakenly entered yielded no search terms, so I created the redirect assuming that others could make the same mistake but fail to catch their error (and by extension assuming that some folks are pretty darn unobservant). I'm not sure what issues other than space are considered when creating redirects, and I figured that space was a non-issue. I apologize if I am simply--and I'm assuming I am--misinformed. But out of curiosity, what's the reason for not redirecting typos? EDIT: I just considered two other potential reasons: One, of course we can't spend all our time creating redirects for typos; two, such redirects will devalue "What links here" pages. So, once again, apologies on my part. Nick Bagnall 14:48, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
