Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at CZ:Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via the Citizendium-L (broadcast) mailing list (do join!) and the blog. Please also join the workgroup mailing list(s) that concern your particular interests. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forums is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any constable for help, too. Me, for instance! Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! Larry Sanger 01:38, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

WP author templates

If you can confirm that others' contributions are no longer included in the text, then the templates would be appropriate. That would require going through the edit history on Wikipedia and making sure that you either remove or rewrite each contribution by another author. If you've already rewritten most of it, that might not be very difficult, but if you think there might still be significant chunks of text that originated with someone else, it is probably easiest to just give credit to Wikipedia. --Joe Quick 14:45, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

In case of Bobby Driscoll I cannot exclude that there are still fragments of the original text left (wordings, phrases, single sentences etc.) but the article in the present form is definitely my work, though I have to admit that a befriended (longtime) researcher (the one who wrote the biographic essay on my Tribute website) proofread my drafts, but without being directly involved in the developments. So I faithfully consider myself the major author of especially this article.
In case of Billy Chapin and Sally Jane Bruce I extended standard stubs up to the current articles, according to own, comprehensive researches.
To simplify matters now, I'll follow your advice and credit them as derived from Wikipedia.

English

Hello, Oliver, I've taught English to a lot of Germans so if you would like me to help out, let me know. And as for punctuation, the thing to remember about commas is: when in doubt, leave it out. Regards - Ro Thorpe 14:53, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
