The recent changes are good except for two issues. Do we need the author and editor categories? They are so exhaustive that they are probably not useful enough to be in the sidebar. Second, with so many additions the search box is now off screen, for me at least. Is there a way to bump it up a bit? Chris Day (Talk) 15:34, 15 December 2006 (CST)
- I agree with Chris Day. The sidebar doesn't fit on my (admittedly smallish) laptop screen with the logo on top. At 475 pixels and 22 links, it could use some downsizing. I'd cut the "software forge" link, since anyone who is going to join the forge will be able to easily find their way to the join link from the bug tracker page. I'd also merge "general announcements" and "editor announcements" into a page that points us at all the mailing lists (including CZ-tech, but obviously not exec). Also, "e-mail admin" should be just general contact, and should contain links to bugs, sanger@citizendium, and the constables email-list (if they actually use it). --ZachPruckowski 16:20, 15 December 2006 (CST)
Comunication - Questions
The link to forum (Questions?) is wrong, the correct is http://forum.citizendium.org/index.php?board=18.0. Or if it is right, the link in the main page should be changed too. --Versuri 16:04, 15 December 2006 (CST)
- That link takes you to writing a new post on the General Help board, whereas the one you mention is just for viewing the board. For what it's worth, I agree that a link just to the board (minus the posting part, as you suggest) should be what's up there. --ZachPruckowski 16:20, 15 December 2006 (CST)
