The name Druk does not seem to be used in English to refer to this country. Since this is an English language site we should use the English Language name. Before recommending what the name should be, some research will be needed as to the exact correct title but it seems to me that Druk is a local language name not English. I agree, although I thought this was supposed to be an article about the Dzongkha word Druk, rather than about the country. Also, to the extent of my limited knowledge, the statement, "Bhutan is also called Druk in the Bhutanese language, Dzongkha" is not quite correct. Druk means dragon; "Bhutan" is Druk yul, "the land of the dragon". Possibly Druk also doubles as an adjective for "Bhutanese" (I'm not sure)?—Nat Krause 18:23, 2 May 2007 (CDT)
in Dutch it means pressure :) Robert Tito |  Talk
I found the page because Bhutan was on my list for checklisting and that name redirect here. Currently it looks like both names apply to this article. Additionaly, the current article is taged to Geography Workgroup. If the article is supposed to be about the word then the redirect form Bhutan should turn into an article on Bhutan the country, and the geography tag should be changed in favour of a linguistics workgroup tag. This article is also using the name used by one Bhutanese group for the country as a whole, which is inappropriate. John Stephenson 05:25, 22 June 2007 (CDT)
I have now moved the page, and incorporated the info as a section on the word 'Druk'. John Stephenson 05:33, 22 June 2007 (CDT)
