I intend to maintain this article on Citizendium. I wrote 100% of it for Wikipedia during 2006. Louis F. Sander 11:34, 22 April 2007 (CDT)
- let's rename it U.S. Federal Maritime Board for consistency, ok? Richard Jensen 05:45, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
- Fine by me, with caveats. Either form is OK, if there's consistency among ALL articles on "United States" topics. But if the official name of an organization is "United States Foo," we need to be very sure of ourselves, and very consistent across all articles, if we want to change it to "U.S. Foo." How will creators of new articles on "United States Whatever" know to make the change? We probably need a style manual, plus some way to enforce the style. And is it "United States of America" or "U.S. of America" or "U. S. of America"? It's a puzzlement. ;-) Louis F. Sander 07:04, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
