In central Vietnam, National Highway 7 runs Dien Chau, via Ban Me Thuot to Nam Can. It is a route from Vietnam into Cambodia.

It was the only escape road from Ban Me Thuot and the Central Highlands during the 1975 fall of South Vietnam
