This photo is from the back cover of "The Terminators" by Donald Hamilton, a Gold Medal, Fawcett World Library paperback published in 1975. The photograph is presumably copyrighted by Gold Medal, but as it is a publicity photograph, it is presumably usable here under the Fair Use doctrine. I scanned it myself on 13 August 2006. It is to illustrate the subject of a Citizendium article in a way that words alone could not convey. It is believed that the use of low-resolution images of book covers to illustrate an article discussing the book in question qualifies as Fair Use under United States copyright law. Other use of this image, however, on Citizendium or elsewhere, might be considered copyright infringement. |
