Lois McMaster Bujold is an American science fiction and fantasy writer who, as of 2022, has won seven Hugo awards (fan-voted) and three Nebula awards (writer-voted). Bujold's most famous set of recurring characters are in the Vorkosigan universe, which is pure science fiction. She has also written several additional recurring universes in the fantasy genre.
