My name’s Neil Stott and I’m a professional educator and curriculum manager at a British Further Education college.

My main teaching role is teacher training and education but I’m responsible for a wide-ranging curriculum area including professional studies and business education.

Before I became a teacher I worked in engineering (brewery and process) but have always been very keen on reading and researching history.

My interests are diverse but I am keen on history, archaeology and also have spent many years involved with historical re-enactment in the UK.

(See www.hms.org.uk)

I enjoy recreating the technology of history and have made woodworking equipment as well as arms and armour for the C17th battlefield.

I have done some work with the National Trust and have studied heritage conservation at 1st degree level.

Recently I completed my Master’s degree dissertation and now wish to devote more time to amateur archaeology and historical research.
