Orenthal James "O. J." Simpson (born July 9, 1947) is a former professional American football player for the NFL. He is also a sports commentator and actor. He was tried and acquitted for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. In 2007, he was arrested for an attempted robbery in Las Vegas.
