Article initiated by Gordon Feric retitled and moved.--Thomas Simmons 03:42, 25 January 2008 (CST)
- Where should this reside? The main article is "Energy conversion" and the talk is at "Energy Conversion". --Todd Coles 22:11, 3 February 2008 (CST)
- Both should, and now do, reside at "Energy conversion", with "conversion" uncapitalized. The title should be uncapitalized because it's not a proper name. Anthony Argyriou 12:13, 4 February 2008 (CST)
- Thanks Anthony. Forgot to alter the talk page when changing the title.--Thomas Simmons 17:41, 4 February 2008 (CST)
Made some revisions to improve appearance
Gordan, I just made some revisions of the first two or so paragraphs of the section on the Carnot cycle to show you how the article's appearance can be much improved and the length of the article can be shortened:
- I re-drew your first two drawings. Made them smaller, eliminated the excess white space and made the text in the drawings larger (to be more legible).
- Then I located the drawings on the right-hand side of the page so that the text could flow down the left-hand side. Doing this for all of the drawings in the article will drastically shorten the length of the article ... but all of the drawings will need to be redrawn to make all of them smaller and they will all need larger text in the drawings.
- I also made a very few minor wording changes to be more encyclopedic in nature.
If you will take the time to study my edits on the edit page, you will learn how to locate drawings on the right-hand side and how to caption the drawings within the image location syntax.
Tomorrow I will try converting some of your HTML equations to TeX.
Hope this helps get you started improving this article so that it will be much more useful. I know this will take time and work, but the final product will be much better. - Milton Beychok 02:23, 5 April 2008 (CDT)
