Robert Spencer is Director of Jihad Watch and a member of the advisory board of the American Congress for Truth. He holds a MA, Religious Studies, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has been studying Islamic theology, law, and history in depth since 1980. He was an Adjunct Fellow with the Free Congress Foundation in 2002 and 2003.<ref>{{citation
